Rexii ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application and website (collectively, the "Service").
We offer two distinct operating modes with very different data practices: Privacy Mode (local, on-device processing) and Cloud Mode (server-side AI processing). Please read carefully to understand which mode applies to you.
When you use Rexii in Privacy Mode, all AI processing happens entirely on your device using local models. No audio, text, commands, or results are transmitted to our servers. Your data never leaves your machine.
When you opt in to Cloud Mode, your voice input and text requests are sent to our cloud infrastructure for processing by third-party large language model (LLM) providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). Cloud Mode requires a Rexii account (Google sign-in). Data sent in Cloud Mode is governed by the providers' respective privacy policies in addition to this policy.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not store your Google password.
We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, crash reports) to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you.
If you contact our support team, we retain your messages and email address to resolve your issue.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes.
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate your account and sync your preferences (Cloud Mode)
• Process payments and send receipts
• Respond to support requests
• Send product updates (you may opt out at any time)
• Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
• AI providers (Cloud Mode only): prompts are sent to LLM APIs for processing
• Stripe: for payment processing
• Google: for authentication via OAuth
• Law enforcement: where required by law
All third-party partners are bound by data processing agreements.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@rexii.io. We will action your request within 30 days.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Rexii is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email info@rexii.io.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
